Ingersoll Support Services is governed by a group of community members who are passionate about the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Board of Directors
President - Diana Alves
Diana has been a member of the ISSI Board of Directors since March 2014. Wife to Brian and mother of three, Diana is a resident of Ingersoll. As a stay-at-home mom to her two sons with autism, Diana takes special interest in facilitating a support group for moms of special needs children and running a Communication Clinic through which families, individuals and agencies are educated in augmentative communication.
Vice-President - Jess Dickie
Jess joined the ISSI Board of Directors in January of 2018. Spouse to Kristi, Jess is a music therapist affiliated with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy, the Ontario Association of Music Therapy and the Certification Board for Music Therapists. Jess is also an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll.
Secretary/Treasurer - Sylvia Mayberry
Sylvia joined the ISSI Board of Directors in September of 2018. Wife to Tom and mother of four, Sylvia is a long time Ingersoll area resident affiliated with the Ingersoll & District Horticultural Society and Foldens United Church. Sylvia is now retired from her career as a Public Health Nurse and Lactation Consultant with the Oxford County Board of Health.
Director - Dale Conners
Dale has been a member of the ISSI Board of Directors since June of 2002. Husband to Carolyn and father of five, Dale resides in the city of London. A retired elementary and highschool teacher, Dale volunteers with the Parkinson's Society of Southwestern Ontario and enjoys his involvement with the New Horizon Band Programme at the University of Western Ontario.
Director - Barry Stevens
Barry has been a member of the ISSI Board of Directors since October 2016. Husband to Elaine and father of two sons, Barry resides in Ingersoll. Retired from an extensive history in the education sector, Barry now volunteers with Renew in London, the Daily Bread Food Bank and is also a member of the Ingersoll Rotary Club.
Director - Cindy Male
Cindy joined the Board of Directors in June of 2019 and comes with a wealth of experience within the DS Sector and government. Now retired, Cindy worked within the Ministry of Community and Social Services for many years as a Youth Justice Trainer and FASD Trainer & Family Support Person. Over the years, she also worked for various community agencies supporting persons with developmental disabilities. Mother of three and wife to Anthony, Cindy continues to volunteer with various local agencies, including the Oxford Children’s Aid Society as a parent lead for their Adoption Support Group.
Executive Director - Jayden Nancekivell
Jayden became the Executive Director of Ingersoll Support Services in August 2020. He enters the role following 12 years in various roles within the organization, including front-line support, office management and most recently as the Director of Finance & Operations. Jayden brings with him a passion for people and the community. He and his wife Amie are thrilled to be able to raise their family of 4 in the town of Ingersoll.
